Никита – второй ребенок в семье, родился в срок, весом 3 кг 880 гр. Но через несколько дней состояние малыша стало вызывать у родителей подозрение – он плохо спал, почти не мог есть. Врач определила ребенка в стационар, откуда на скорой помощи его увезли в областную больницу. Более двух недель Никита провёл на ИВЛ, т.к. сам дышать не мог. Потом, наконец, поставили диагноз – лейциноз, «болезнь кленового сиропа» и начали терапию. Как только появилась положительная динамика, его отправили в Москву, где выявили отёк головного мозга и пневмонию.
Сейчас Никита может питаться самостоятельно, но только специальной смесью. Он начинает держать голову – у него очень слабые мышцы из-за строгой белковой диеты.
Мальчику необходима постоянная реабилитация, так как домашних упражнений в его случае недостаточно. Никита интересуется игрушками, может брать их ручками, и очень хочет развиваться наравне со сверстниками.

But after a few days, the baby's condition began to arouse suspicion among the parents – he slept badly, almost could not eat. The doctor placed the child in the hospital, from where he was taken by ambulance to the regional hospital. Nikita spent more than two weeks on a ventilator, because he could not breathe himself. Then, finally, they diagnosed leucinosis, "maple syrup disease" and started therapy. As soon as the positive dynamics appeared, he was sent to Moscow, where brain edema and pneumonia were detected.
Now Nikita can eat on his own, but only with a special mixture. He starts to hold his head – he has very weak muscles due to a strict protein diet.
The boy needs constant rehabilitation, as home exercises are not enough in his case. Nikita is interested in toys, can take them with his hands, and really wants to develop on a par with his peers.
